Interbellum city animation
The city of Izegem commissioned this animation for their biennally cultural walk event through the city. The walks involves all theatre and music companies from the city and are themed around a pivotal period in the history of the city. The theme of this walk was the interbellum which was an important time for the industrial evolution of the local industry. The animation was played at the final stop of the walk and it showed the viewers how the city looked during that period through the lens of the first filmprojector in town.
The film consists of 33 shots based on old postcards. It is a combination of camera projection techniques and 3D.
